Default VTEC Solenoid

Pulled the VTEC solenoid and it seems to look good. There may have been a tiny bit of aluminum in the screen (from cam caps). Planning to replace gaskets/screen and reinstall

Got it all back together. Was careful to follow torque specs and sequence on everything. Oil and filter had a few small flakes - nothing more. It coughed to life sounding terrible with no power or revs. Found a loose vacuum hose. It now starts and runs but significant misfires on cylinder 3 & 4. I believe it’s stuck injectors from sitting with old fuel. It had no fuel to speak of on in the tank when I got it. It’s now filled with premium fuel. Have BG44 fuel injector cleaner on the way.Apologies if I’m posting a lot—just trying to work through the issue and hoping this thread can serve as a clear reference for anyone facing a similar problem. Thanks in advance for any input or guidance.

Maybe swap the injectors to the other cylinders as a test and see if the misfires move to those cylinders. Most misfires are spark or fuel related - coilpacks or injectors. You might want to swap the coilpacks and see if the codes move with them, they are easier to test than injectors so try them first. If nothing changes then move to the injectors. An Italian tune-up may be in order

Default Finally - Running Great!

Work done:
- Low mileage matching Cam caps, Camshafts and valve train
- Valve adjustment
- Cam sensors
- Cleaned injectors
- Checked and replaced VTEC screen/gasket
- Spark plugs
- 4 ignition coils (only 1 was firing!)
- Air filter
- OEM oil filter + Oil
- Camwheel bolt o-ring

Compression test results:

Cylinder 1 - 210PSI

Cylinder 2 - 211PSI

Cylinder 3 - 210PSI

Cylinder 4 - 215PSI

Thank you everyone for your help and contributions! It is now running great!
