can you keep my04 in vtec?

Default can you keep my04 in vtec?

by shifting at redline? does anyone know the data for max speed in gears 1st, 2nd 3rd etc?

Yes, but only by slipping the clutch.

MY04 gearing sepcs are:
Secondary reduction - 1.208
Final drive - 4.100
Redline - 8200
1st - 3.133
2nd - 2.045
3rd - 1.481
4th - 1.161
5th - 0.942
6th - 0.763
Reverse - 2.800

thx...looks like a redline shift from 1st into 2nd rpm will drop to 5300 or so. from 2nd you're in vtec range.

neat calculator.

when you get on it and shift @ redline or a little below it easily stays in the vtec range. (the gearbox has closer ratios for 04)
