Default MY04 s2000 vtec engagement point lower ?

I was pretty sure that the vtec engagement point was lowered in MY04 s2k??? From dyno charts though, it seems like it is at 6000 rpm. Wasn't that the vtec point for MY00~MY03 also ???

Thanks~

Yep, still around 6000rpm, just like the previous engines.

still the same VTEC point, but you can do a VAFC or Hondata to lower the VTEC point or tune the motor according to what you lower it too

Does this drop the s2k of of Vtec when you shift at 8k rpm?

considering the previous 9k rpm shifts lands the engine well within the powerband.

Which rpm are most landing in after each gear shift?

No. When I shift my '04, the RPM lands above 6000 in every gear if I shift at redline.

Mine does land outside VTEC. But if I shift quickly enough, the clutch slips enough (by design) that I'm at about 6500rpm or so after the shift is completed.

(I need to get a video of this posted on of these days.)
