can't put it into gear.... help
ok so i pulled the motor over winter and in doing so i left the clutch slave cylinder hanging and all the fluid dripped out over the prolonged period of time. so i refilled it and bleed it but now i can't get the car to go into gear????? could i have done something wrong??? it went into gear before the slave cylinder was installed.
Air in the slave.
Unbolt the slave, point the bleeder straight up, and open it. Gravity will push the air out.
Dont run the master dry.
Trying to bleed the master by old fashoned method rarely works.

ok so i did it again, I got all the air out the second i open the valve brake fluid comes out, the master never ran dry, i closed the valve. the car goes into gear when the car isn't on, but i can't get it into gear when the motor is running.
so i put it into gear and then tryed starting it even with the clutch all the way down to the floor it made the car jump like it is engaged. do you guys think i still have air in the clutch slave??? is there a way to check? the clutch pedal does feel funny, is there a way to adjust it or is it the slave?

is there something i am missing??? I open the top of the reservoir and then open the bleeder screw, pump the clutch but i never get a solid feel until i close the screw.
I am not very good at bleeding brakes either lol. so all the help is appreciated. this is the last thing i have to do to get my car on the road after my build.

You do not "pump" the clutch pedal while bleeder valve is open. You are just introducing more air each pump while bleeder is open.
Do as Billman said and remove the slave cylinder from the side of the transmission while leaving the hydraulic line attached. (Just two bolts)
Then with the slave dangling by its hydraulic line, you position the slave in such a manner as to have the bleeder valve straight up and down, vertical so that all trapped air will go to the top where the bleed valve is. Then while making sure to not allow the clutch master cylinder to empty out, open the bleed valve and allow gravity to push out any trapped air. No need to pump the clutch pedal at all. HTH
