my car just started dying when i come to a stop.this happens ONLY in the afternoons when the air is hot.now,it doesn't happen all the time,but is just a intermittent thing. my gas mileage hasn't been affected nor does my car miss.my cel light never comes on.
once i come off of idle-which i can alays tell it's going to act up because my tach runs up to 1,500 & then drops below 1k,then 5oo for a minute,then stumbles then dies.
has anyone else had this problem? oh,my car has 81,000 miles on it,soooo?

Is this usually after coming to a dead stop? You may just want to try and hold in the clutch for an extra second upon stoping.
