Have your CV joints inspected.

If the vibration occurs under accel only then goes away under decel, it's most likely the inner CV joints.

If the vibration increases with speed and doesn't change under accel or decel. Tire balance, and checking for bent wheels is in order.

Really sounds like inner CV joints. you can swap them and not buy any parts. Search.

3 of us have already told you to target your CV joints. What else do you want to know?
Checking the play between the joint and the diff won't tell you what condition the joints are in. There's always some play there. Do what Billman told you or do it the hard way and take the joints apart and inspect them.

3 of the top mechanics on this site regarding S2000's tells you to check the CV joints. there's nothing more anyone can tell you. so, go get them checked.
