The car shakes when reaching idle...!
Looking to buy my first S and i took it for a test drive
one thing I noticed was that when youre driving it seems fine, although I didnt put it into VTEC. But when you come to a redlight and reach idle, the car will shake/shiver. It sounds like it's about to stall but not really.. and then it idles around 900 RPM or whatever it is normal. Then it doesn't do it anymore. However if you give it gas past 1k RPM, it will rev the engine and then when it comes down to idle, it will shiver/shake again like it's stalling or having a weird idle issue.
Theres no CEL or anything and Ive never owned an S to know if when i was driving it it was lacking power I.E. missing a cylinder. But i would think if it was a misfire in a cylinder the CEL would be thrown.
Idle control valve cleaning came to mind but in those kind of situation doesn't the idle just fluctuate randomly? Like it will go up and down, down and up? This is more consistent everytime you give it gas and come to to idle.
What is this problem? Is it serious? Should I buy the car?

It's needs the idle re-learn procedure. It usually happens when you disconnect the battery. Go in highway and set cruise to 60-70mph and cruise for about 5-10 minutes. After that it won't do it anymore.

IAC could need cleaning, could need a MAP whack. My AP1 did that for about 3 months until I had a coilpack go out on me. After cleaning the IAC, throttle body, valve adjust, and MAP whack... it went away. So not sure exactly what fixed the idle drop.
