Default Car wont start

my car wont start..........

I have MY07 with 4k miles on it. I took it to the track yesterday. Everything was great even on my last session. After clean up, I tried to turn on my car to go return the transponder. and my car didn't start. when i pushed the start button, it made one click noise and didn't start, didn't even crank up. tried jumper cable, didn't work. but then when i clutch started the car, it worked fine. idle was normal and drove perfect. one of the guy said there could be something wrong with the sensor on the clutch pedal that releases currency for the ignition after the clutch is depressed. But i have no idea wats going on. I mean, my car is pretty new with only 4k miles on(bought it new 2 month ago) and didn't really push the car on the track neither, and im already having such problem

any ideas? I have amuse single exhaust right now. everything else is stock. should i take it to dealer? im afraid of them being asshole and deny to cover it under warranty cuz of the exhaust. also i don have time at all on week days so Im trying to have my friend take my car to the dealer. can i do that?

thx

There is a difference between a manufacturer's warranty and an extended warranty. The manufacturer's warranty is governed by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The dealer must prove the exhaust is causing the car to not start in order to void the warranty.

An extended warranty is NOT covered by Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. In reality an extended warranty is like a maintenance insurance policy. Just like any insurance policies, there are exclusionary clauses...and mods are usually listed as a valid reason to deny a claim.

You should not have a problem with the exhaust. You may have a problem when they pull the data from your ecu and see the amount of time you spent in VTEC from the track time...they could claim it is abuse. I don't know how long the new ecu's log data, but it might be worth taking a highway trip to log some normal looking rpms.
