CEL cod P1457
ok. so im officially confused. i didnt have time to reset the codes, so i ran it with the CEL for a week, just about.
looked at my dash today..NO MORE CEL!?
i think it has something to do with my valve getting screwed up when i run my tank below 3 bars. im going to try to not do that anymore and see if it keeps coming back. ill keep updating as this progresses..until i fix the problem in the end.

Any definitive answer on P1457 cause and resolution? It popped up for me today. I refueled yesterday morning, and gas cap seemed tight - but I smelled fuel vaoprs once since then. I assumed it was some other vehicle. Anyway, just wanted to add my anecdote. I've reseated the gas cap, and will monitor for further fuel vapor smells. Hopefully I don't have an actual hole somewhere - I did hit some highway debris Tuesday.
The P1457 happened after my battery died one day and I had to jump it. The battery was so dead that when the car started, as soon as the air pump turned on, the car turned off, rather abruptly. Could this be related at all? ECU issue?
