Hmmm, I went down and took a look for it, but I can't see anything.... Does someone have another picture or can actually point it out? It is very hard to see anything below the intake manifold.

If a clutch was done, it is very likely the knock sensor was cracked. It's very common.
Why is that? The clutch was done about 2 months ago.

The knock sensor is the line of fire when using a long extension to remove the upper starter bolt, which must be removed to get the trans out.

It's nice and hot under the intake, which makes the plastic sensor brittle. Bump it the wrong way with the extension = broken sensor.

i just had my knock sensor replaced and it is a little bit on the tricky side to replace. you really have to underneath the vehicle and reach over with a 24mm socket wrench. it is located on the driver side - engine block.
knock sensor problem causes the vtec not to engage causing a noticeable lack of power.

Wouldn't a knock sensor retard timing if it sensed knock? I dun't see a reason to prevent VTEC from engaging

Thanks for the location help. But also, I am still able to engage in vtec?

Without the knock sensor, you risk damaging the engine. I hope honda goes into some form of reduced performance mode when the knock sensor quits.

Detonation will destroy a motor in short order.
