Default Check Engine Light

The Check Engine Light came on yesterday on the way home from the beach. I've checked the oil level (its fine), and the airbox (after that nasty squirrel pick that was on the forums yesterday), and I'm wondering what you guys would recommend doing/checking?

There are hundreds of things that can cause the CEL to come on. Get the code.

Most common is the gas cap being too loose. Is it on tight enough?

Oh yeah - and how to reset:

Go to Autozone and borrow the diagnostic tool. The connector is on the passengers side of the tranny tunnel, right in front of the little storage net, and under the dash.

Free from Autozone.

Good Luck
