Default Check Engine Light

My Check Engine light came on this morning. Should I get to the dealer now or can it wait until Monday?

Engine is running fine, plenty of fluids.

Thanks in advance,

dm

Anywhere near 6,000 miles? Your car may be telling you of a pending oil change. If not post here.

I believe the check engine light will flash, not stay on when you approach the 6K mark and remain on after that. There is a tutorial in FAQ section. The dealership will tell you to do the following so you might as well do it now. The gas tank is pressurized and there is a sensor that checks it status. It does cause a check engine light. (Speaking from experience )Remove and reinstall your gas cap as well. 3+ solid clicks.
