Choosing Torque Wrench
Sorry, this isn't technically UTH material but I would assume that you guys would be the most knowledgable.
My torque wrench was recently stolen so I am in the market for a new one. Anyone have a suggestion on a quality unit that won't break the bank? I am not usually one that skimps but it looks like the prices range from $60 to $260 which is a pretty large spread.
Would a $70-90 (click-type) Craftsmen be fine or is it really worth moving up to one of the professional series or snap-ons ($220)? Thanks

Have you looked into a torque meter?? IMO it's easier to use because the external guage can be place near you and easily read.
That way you could use it with any ratchet. It should run about 129.99 for one at sears.

The Craftsman or even cheaper click wrench is fine for wheels and other moderate size fasteners than can stand a small margin in torque. A higher quality unit is desirable for small or critical fasteners. If you are not rebuilding the engine you don't need a high dollar wrench.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. The torque meter did catch my eye, but I like the fact that I can set the torque wrench and just have at it. The Meter does look nice for those hard to get to places, but then again, it acts as an extension so it still won't always fit.
Not planning on rebuilding a motor anytime soon, I will mostly be using it for suspension pieces and such. So I think I will go with the $70 one.
Another quick question, is the Honda Service manual and Helms manual the same thing? If not, which is better?
Thanks again.
