CKP Sensor Code clarification and Help!
First the details and layout of my car. MY2007 that has a Kraftwerks SC Highboost system, I'm running the Denso Iridium Power IK24 Spark Plugs, Asura 3in HFC and Dual Exhaust.
So today i was driving a bit stupidly and was pushing the car up to Redline at WOT going from 4 to 5 gear. I over revved the engine for about 1 sec before i realized that it had hit redline and i shifted up to 5th and kept going. About halfway into 5 the VSA light with the exclamation point came on and went into limp mode. I Shifted down slowly and pulled over. I turned off the car and grabbed my scanner out of the trunk and checked the code which came out to P0339 P0339 Crankshaft Position Sensor A CKT Intermittent. So i searched the forum and found some topics that were relevant.
This topic sounds very similar to mine
The question i have is which way to go about resolving this issue? The resolution to the problem on the post seems to state that the cause was the gapping on the spark plugs but some of the other posters on the topic give advice to check the CKP Sensor and the sensor pulse plate for damage. If i do need to check the CKP Sensor and Pulse Plate can Someone clarify where the actual sensor is located and if possible with a picture. I know this is probably a newb request but any help would be appreciated.
I have also checked the oil levels and they are fine.
