Default Cleaning Air Filter With Compressed Air?

Does anyone know if cleaning the air filter included in the Mugen intake with compressed air damages it?

Thanks in advance.

Charles, did you receive the intake?

I only used compressed air briefly to clean it once. Test it with the method I suggested. If it is damaged, I'll replace it.

compressed air should never be used to clean air filters regardless if it re re-useable cotton types or normal paper types. You may not see the damages but there is a good chance you will and this will let more dirt through.

I think K-n-N says that it will shrink the cotton in the filter.

The filter is essentially a K&N and here is what they say about it:

6. DRYING HINTS
Always dry naturally. After
rinsing, shake off all excess
water and let the element
dry naturally.
DO NOT use compressed air.
DO NOT use open flame.
DO NOT use heat dryers.
Excess heat will shrink the
cotton filter media. Compressed air will blow holes in the element.
