Doesn't look too dirty. Pull up on the plastic divider. It slides right out. Then pull the air filter off. Might have to wiggle it but it pulls right off.

OK ... i have a 2006 S2000 .... I reopened the air cleaner cover... I then lifted the the air cleaner element out of the star slot it was pressed into. Next I lifted the air cleaner out of the
air cleaner case. All I have to do now is remove the Air cleaner element from the air flow tube... I believe the the spring on the air flow tube is holing it in place. When i get the new OEM
honda air cleaner element I will try to install it by moving the spring on the air flow tube. ( see attached pictures ) I think I have this right ? If not then please let me know S2000 friends.

HannibalACP82,

thanks for your help..... But,

As you can see from the pictures I posted the plastic divider on my air cleaner case is not removable. The air cleaner element I believe is held on
with the air flow tube spring.... I will try and take off the spring today to release the air cleaner element. I will keep you posted.

You don't have to do anything with the spring. Just wiggle the old filter out and push the new one in.
