Man - lots of curve balls. Before you know it you will have replaced every component in the car.

When you say you adjusted the play in the master cylinder - do you mean you adjusted the clutch pedal free play? Or did you adjust the master cylinder itself?

Consider spending a bit of time diagnosing the drive shaft turning issue?

Thanks! You would have thought I'd noticed that, the last time I replaced the rear rotors and pads. But, NO....

Must have been thinking about my Element.

Tell me about it!! Only 105k on the car, shes gonna feel new new once this is all done!

Yes, I adjusted the clutch pedal free play.

That's what I am currently working on is assessing the driveshaft turning issue. It really feels like the diff is stuck. I drained the diff today to check for metal pieces, the oil was a bit dark but not enough to concern me, and absolutely ZERO shavings or anything of the sorts in the pan.

***UPDATE***
Got my diff "unstuck" last night! My plan was to drop the diff and take it in to get looked at, prior to taking everything apart I figured I could try to undo the CV bolts to see if I could get it to spin, well guess what, after removing the last bolt with an impact gun the diff started to spin freely when we turned the prop shaft!! Still, ZERO ideas of what happened but all I can think is something was off just enough from when I jacked up the car further to get the transmission out from underneath it that my diff got pissed and refused to move(this makes the most logical sense because diffs definitely have emotions..LOL) and the impact from the gun shook everything back into line. Got everything buttoned up last night and am changing all the fluids tomorrow(working on my daughter's car today), hoping to be able to take it for a test drive by Monday. Have to get my tires remounted on the wheels.. that's another story.... LOL!

So...the diff turned with the CV axle disconnected?

Just sounds like the hub or something else was resistant to turning.

Did it continue to turn properly after you re-bolted the CV back up?

B serious that's exactly what happened, and yeah, it continued to turn as we put the bolts back in, checked after each one. It's all buttoned back up now and shockingly enough it's still turning. lol!

I agree with this and I will go a step further and say that it is "pretty much confirmed" that Honda S2000's do experience all human emotions and, at times, they suffer from various forms of mental illness. My S2000 attends weekly counseling sessions. Highly recommended preventative maintenance for all Honda S2000s.

***UPDATE***
SHE'S ALIVE!!!!! Hey everyone! So after some more drama, I was FINALLY able to take her out on her maiden test drive! The gears are like absolute BUTTAH!!! Oh just like she was mean to be! EXCEPT(of course there is an "except")...... for second gear, it's grinding..every shift is grinding...I want to low key cry.. lol!

So I went through and changed the transmission fluid(Honda MTF), I adjusted the clutch pedal free play, obviously, new clutch fluid has been put in and bled, I let her get warm and drove her on surface streets and freeway. Still, every time she goes into second there is grinding, sometimes it's worse than other times. It seems like RPM's dictate how bad it grinds. If I am in second and engage the clutch, take it out of second into neutral, don't put it in any other gear then re-engage the clutch and put it back in second, it doesn't grind. At this point all I can think of is how it must be the 2nd gear synchros, however from what I can find online it doesn't seem like the synchros going bad is a common issue in the AP2, that being said, I can't help but wonder if whatever happened that fateful day in July dicked up the synchros for second gear. Oh, and it's worth mentioning that the transmission fluid defiantly had copper flake in it when I drained the fluid for the MTF change.

Am I chasing the wrong dog here ladies and gents? Any input is greatly appreciated. Bonus round - During my test drive, I discovered I ruined the clock spring assembly when doing the clutch job turned the steering wheel to move the rotors, and make more room under the car... My Airbag, VSA, /!\ lights are on, and my horn isn't working...That was a couple of hundred dollar mistake...
