Clutch Pedal Removal

When that happened to me I just unplugged the clutch switch connector, jumped it with paper clip. You can turn it into a kill switch if you're feeling fancy. Much easier than getting all up in there.

so you have to jump the wires to just start the car and if you connect the connector back it will continue to run normally?

Yes, but why would you remove the wire bypass jump once you started it? You'll just have to jump the connector wires again next time you start it. Stall in an intersection, and you're in big trouble.

The switch is an interlock. A type of switch used as a safety device to prevent something from operating when an unsafe condition could occur. In this case, preventing a run away scenario from starting a car in gear. All it does is disable the starter.

This interlock wouldn't, for example, prevent push starting the car. It also wouldn't affect anything if disconnected while the engine was already running.
