A lot of times when I press in and release my clutch when changing gears, it makes a rattling noise. I can also feel my clutch rattling under my foot. Guys, what may be the problem??? Thanks!!

I've got a rattle that I hear mostly when slowly pulling out from a standstill, with a little intended clutch slippage. It's fairly annoying, sounds just a little deeper than a heat shield rattle but makes the car sound "cheap." It is not the well-known 4-3K decel rattle, that I do not have.

Are we talking about this same thing? Anyone else have this? I did bring it into the dealer, and as usual I was told it was "normal." They said that they compared it to another S2K in for service that day, and said that it was also present in that one.

Other than 2 incidents of "burning" the clutch (briefly) in autoX, I notice no problems other than this "noise." It's just that I feel like anyone standing next to the car when I'm pulling out of a parking spot would think, "nice looking car, but what's that rattle?"

If many fellow members here also have this, I'm not gonna worry about it any further. 19 months left on warrantee!

 

I have the same rattle and can feel the vibration under my foot on the clutch too !!! how much is a new clutch plate or disk?

It does make the car sound cheap when slowing down especially around late 2k to 3k revs !!!!
