So a couple of days ago as i was trying to back into my driveway my car s2k wouldnt go into reverse. I had to release the clutch several times until it finnaly allowed me to go into revers. Now i know transmissions can be funky sometimes but i have never had an issue with this car.
The next morning which was today..... the car wouldn't go into first. Same as last time i had to release a few times and hen it finally gave. Once the car got going and warmed up it had no problems for the rest of the day until after work.
The car was cold and when i attempted to leave my parking space it wouldn't go into reverse or first. It would go into second but i wasn't really trying all the gears. I also noticed the my clutch pedal seemed to be more softer than usual. I could push it very easily down about half way until the clutch engaged. I shut the car off and waited a minute and then turned it back one and it went into reverse as once again it was perfectly fine once we got going. While driving home it seemed that the clutch pedal feel seemed to imrove. Can anyone tell me what my issue is?

 

i had the same problem with reverse and first. It was fixed by regreasing the shifter and replacing my trans fluid with GM sycromesh Friction Modified..I havent had that problem since i regreased my shifter and changed my transmission fluid. Common problem

 

check fluid level
check slave cylinder
check to see if master cylinder is leaking into the cabin where it comes through the firewall.
