I actually decided to cancel it since it was gonna be $500 and when they replaced the fluid and got the air out... my clutch hasn't been this smooth even the day I bought it almost 2 years ago now (come December). So I might have had this problem for the past 2 years.

I can't tell if you're joking the leak will stop D:.

Do you guys think there will be a major problem down the road if I don't fix this problem? I backed out of it, I will carry brake fluid in my trunk and see if the problem occurs again within 6 months or if the fluid seems to be leaking.
How hard would it be for me to install a master cylinder myself, it seems like several people mess with this component on the AP2 to delete the CDV from the clutch slave cylinder.

My quote was $505, if I remember correctly on the phone the master cylinder was to be $160 and the slave $130.
On that site the slave and master is $138.43, if I couldn't do it myself reliably, I could probably pay the well repped local guy to install it, and save $200.
The transmission guy said he just wanted to go ahead and replace the slave with the master, that nothing was wrong with it -_-.

get both the mnaster and slave and get it installed somewhere else. 500 bucks? you gotta be kidding me! it was like 200 for the parts, and I did it myself in less than a coupe hours (both master and slave).

Why did you end up having to replace yours? Similar issue?
