If the cooling system hasn't been opened recently the only source for the air is a external or internal leak.

Blown Headgaskets can leak coolant into the bores and you get the same disappearing coolant symptoms as a external leak.

Usually, but not always. Especially if you catch it early. I've worked on quite a few 91-95 Legends that wouldn't smoke out the exhaust or smell and had both headgaskets blown.

I do want to add that this evening (its about 27F outside) while idling to read the code, the temp gauge was at 4 bars. I have never, ever seen it at 4 bars. I suspect it's an air pocket in the system. The radiator fans didn't turn on and the large coolant hoses didn't feel hot, they were just a bit warm, but that's it.

Thanks again

I paid attention today to my parking spot at work and noticed the area under the reservoir has coolant on the asphalt. So this leads me to believe the overflow tank is spilling out coolant. I suppose that may mean the thermostat is not opening.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Blown HG pushing coolant out of the reservoir, or it's overheating and pushing coolant out of the reservoir.
