Cold air intake & Blower
I am thinking about installing a supercharger, any thoughts about which one and where to go to find out more info ?
There is also a lot of talk about air intakes, do any of them really work?

I was thinking of doing one or the other.
A blower might add a whole lot more excitement but at a price. I don't want to think what it might cost to replace the engine if I cooked it! It's not like a North American product that whose replacement can be found in a Salvage yard.

Hmm.. CAI or SC.... CAI or SC... ARE YOU MAD?!?! Get the SC right now!!!
And for information on CAI's and SC's, you can search on this board. Theres like millions of threads on these subjects.

It is a noble attempt to take in cooler air via CAI to the blower.
But in my opinion it is waste of time and money to modify Comptech's intake. You may however want to see if the foam filter is in good condition to not put in restriction in sucking in the air. I think that would be much more important then figuring out how to bring in colder air.
You see the blower is oiled with engine oil and by compressing you will increase the temperature further. Bringing in few degress of cooler temperatured air really won't give you performance increase.
Argument of how altering the basic NA design with more drastic FI will undoubtly put more stress on the various components.
But lets hope that if you are drastically increasing the hp, you are smart enough to drive more responsibly and not trying to drive like you stole it all the time.
Comptech kit is moderate enough for the stock engine component to handle so if you are more responsible in driving one, you should be fine with longevity.
