Default Compliance bushing torn?

Routine inspection and it looks a few of my rubber components are starting to go. Mainly tie rod and sway bar boots but the compliance bushing looks like its torn already. Thoughts?

Anybody selling front control arms for cheap? Would be nice to get some bushings pressed in beforehand for quick swap but I was planning on waiting til winter anyways.

PS complaince bushing

Mugen and Spoon both sell rubber compliance bushings that can be pressed in. Are you able to spin the eccentric sleeve? Unfortunately in MANY cases that sleeve is seized to the bushing and the arm will need to be cut out.

Buy hardrace sphericals from MAP or whomever sells them.

Pressing them in isn't difficult. Bushing press kits are available for rent or you can buy them for ~$120.

How's it ride with the sphericals in that location? I'd think that bushing adds a lot of...compliance to the whole system.

There is virtually zero change in NVH. I am incredibly sensitive (in general). I also live in the Chicago burbs. So its not like I live around roads made from flat planes of marble.

I've experienced every type of bump there is...and the only time I can tell the car has bearings in the control arms is on rumble strips. Like the ones at the airport or the ones on the side of the highway. Even then, its not like the car is falling apart, its just that I know there is something different.

The hardrace/megan sphericals are booted like an OEM spherical would be. And the boots are of excellent (dare I say OEM?) quality. So no maintenance either.

Smooth like silk, my bro.

Remember to never use the bearing to press them into the arm. Press on the solid body surface.

Awesome, I had been eyeing them sphericals. I love that I have a long term beta tester in you.
