Compression Test
I'm going to be adjusting my valves this weekend, so I figured I might as well take the time to check compression on all 4 cylinders.
Does anyone happen to know what the compression specs are? Although I'll be watching more for even compression across all 4 cylinders, I'm also (obviously) interested that they're still within spec.
Thanks!

Nominal = 228psi
Minimum= 135 psi
Variation = 28psi
In my car I got 210 all across, just make sure to hook up a battery charger so you get constant cranking...

so what if I lost some compression? What caused it and how do I fix it? Ive never checked this before. Can this all be checked when I get my 45,000 mile service done soon?
there's no reason for you to "get this done" when you have your 45,000 mile service. in fact, as long as the car is running properly, there's no reason to do it at all. FYI the dealership would probably charge you at least $150 just to do it. don't waste your money ztopgun.
he's just doing it since he's getting a valve adjustment and wants to double check the car.

honestly, there is no reason for you to get this done ztopgun. a compression and leakdown are usually done when you suspect a possible bent valve or leak somewhere in the cydliner, generally causing a misfire and a CEL.
