has anyone done a compression test on their s2k?? if so..please list your car year and each slot you've tested. i wanna see what are the numbers out there..also..does anyone know what the numbers are suppose to be?? anything would help thanks.

 

Numbers don't matter much consistency does...you want all the numbers close to each other.

 

Some what true... If they are all at 150 thats a bad sign, so consinticy isnt always the best. But usually is good!!

Sup minh! Make sure when you do the test the motor is warm or you will get wierd numbers. As far as the numbers go, I would say anything above 200-210 is good, being around the 240-250 range would be the best.

 

Spec is 225 PSI. But that depends on a few things:
1. the engine must be warm.
2. the gauge itself must have as short a hose as possible, or at least a really tiny diameter. If you get these long "convenient length" gauges, where the gauge sits on the fender while you spin the motor, you'll never get your number because the volume of the hose adds to the volume of your combustion chamber. Of course the best bet is a gauge with a Schrader Valve (that's a tire valve) in the nose is the best because they will just keep filling the long hose bit by bit.

And yes consistency IS what you want, but high consistent numbers is mo' bettuh'.

Find me a used F22C will ya? I'm trying for some records in the next class up, 2 liter to 3 liter and my F20C will do them easily, but it doesn't have enough cubic inches to "qualify" for the class.
