Comptech Exhaust rattle/raspy
-Cold starts esp. when its colder out its very raspy
-Right under 2k the exhaust note is very bassy.. soo bassy that if i keep my rpms right at the sweet spot of the the bassyness, it'll set off car alarms.
-from 3k to 6k it really depends on how much gas I give it, most of the time I can hear some raspyness.
-after 6k my CAI takes over and I can hardly hear the exhaust at all.
I'll try to put together a vid but is this normal?
btw, I have a test pipe as well.

Sounds to me like you need to stay above 6000rpm. Lol, no, As for the exhaust did you check for an exhahst leak? On my buddys RSX the exhaust got kind of raspy when he had an exhaust leak. Once he got it fixed it cleared it up. His was rusted and then where it scraped on his curb at his house it got pushed in some so there was a little lip up in there that could have been the cause of that. Could also be the test pipe, I hear they change the way exhausts sound pretty dramatically. Hope thats of some help.

ya mine was real loud when first starting my car in the morning. the test pipe just makes it that much louder and raspy. My spugen currently isnt as loud in the a.m. when I start my car. So i guess its just the build of the comptech exhaust

Yeah, I'm guessing its that just how it is, especially with a test pipe. I tried looking for leaks but couldn't really see anything. I used that gasket sealer for a gasket though.. but i doubt that has anything to do with it.
