Default Comptech Supercharger Sweating Oil?

Is there anyone with the Comptech Supercharger who's charger is sweating oil from either thr front or rear or both?

I am seeing some oil residue in both the front & rear of the supercharger, I am wondering if this is so-called "normal"...

Thanks.

My Vortech does the same thing. It's not excessive so I'm not worried about it.

I always had a tiny amount in the SC inlet from the oiled air filter, but never any oil from the pulley side. I'd double check the oil isn't from the oil feed fitting.

If it gets excessive, the seal behind the pulley will have to be replaced, and the shaft inspected for wear. To much belt tension puts a side load on the bearings in the SC and can cause wear in the bearings, and the leak at the seal. I'd contact Paxton about repair costs.

Shouldn't there be warranty from Comptech on the blower unit?

I'm sure that there is, But you'd have to contact Comptech about it.

I agree that it doesn't sound right. If it's minimal (just enough to collect dirt) I wouldn't worry about it. But if it's a drip or seeps enough to re-create the seepage patch in a day or two I'd be calling Comptech.

I've got over 60k on the SC and the only oil seepage is around the bypass valve, which has always been there.
