$500!!! Jeez.

I spoke to Comptech yesterday to enquire regarding swapping mine out.

The guy told me they wouldnt have pricing until Wednesday and that they'd charge you for the new one and then credit you back once you send them the cracked bracket.

I believe as commonplace as this issue has been, that Comptech should treat this as a recall and replace them at least as requested regardless of whether cracked or not.

$495 for all 3 brackets. only good thing is if these break, they are covered by warranty on them even though i bought the SC used.

this makes the brackets over 10% of the cost of the kit.

guess they are "eating" the cost of development and shipping under warranty replacing by making it of the out of warranty replacements.

Just wondering, the new brackets are the ones with the rubber grommets right? I have a hairline crack starting to form and need to get it replaced. I would like the new design, the one with the rubber grommets in them. Is this what Comptech is giving out now?

The 2nd bracket was made of rubber.
The 3rd bracket is urethane-what it should have been made of in the first place.
