Converting DBW to Cable Throttle...
if anyone could shed some light on this it would be appreciated, i'm assuming you would need an 04 or 05 ECU? some kind of cable throttle body, oem or otherwise. and then route the cable to the throttle. how feasible is this?

Not possible without spending a buttload in cash. There are way more differences than a TB and a PCM on the 06's. Check out the MY 06 thread stickied at the top of UTH.
Easiest way is to buy an 05.
