Default coolant by-pass for the throttle body

If I bypass the coolant around my throttle body, would i come into any complications later on? Is there also any special gains off it?

I did it on my Sierra C3 (6.0L LS1 engine) with no problems. This mod on my truck was supposed to be good for 5 rwhp in hot climates. I didn't realize my S had the same thing. I guess I will do the same thing on it. From my understanding it is only done to help with emissions and in colder climates it helps in winter to warm the throttle body. If you live in the south like I do there shouldn't be any negative effects.

Jonathan - click the link above or PM me. And no, it does not involve 2 forks and a toothpick.
