For those that have "messed around" with the cooling system and flushed the system, what ratio of coolant/water did you put back into the system?

I am changing my thermostat (mugen) this weekend and am wondering if anyone went with different coolant/water ratio? I'm thinking possibly of a 20/80 mixture.

Thoughts?

Not knowing anything for sure better, I always go with the recommended 50/50.

what about RedLine's water wetter? Its worked great in all my previous cars. When the time comes I'll use it with just water since it has the additives to prevent corrosion in the radiator.

Schatten

I plan on using a bottle of this in addition to the coolant/water.

I don't have to deal with cold weather and use a 80%/20% water/coolant mixture with a full bottle of Redline Waterwetter. So far no problems and it was the first thing I did to the car with the Mugen thermostat.

The Mugen, as well as other thermostats, allow the engine to operate at a lower temperature. Accoding to King the stock car will operate around 195 F while with the Mugen it will be closer to 180 F.

It's well documented how drastically the car reacts (lossing power) to high temperatures and maintaining a lower coolant temperature may help the engine output more power.

Sounds like a good thing to go with the supercharger

Thanks for the info.
