I had a similar problem with my S stalling on me and no CEL. It only happened when I had the A/C on. I thought it was the signal to increase the idle with the A/C on but come to find out 2 week later it was actually my A/C compressor. It finally locked up. Does it happen all the time or only with the A/C on?

I dont understand your car is an 06 it has a warranty. If someone at the dealership is being a dick than go to someone else. They have to diagnose your car before they start pointing fingers at you. I would just take the car to another dealer and just walk in an act like you dont know whats going on play stupid. I also thought with the honda care warranty you can bring your car to any shop and they pick up the bill or is that only on extended?

There are dozens of threads on this forum where S2k owners complain about rough Idle ( at least on AP1). Does anyone know if AP2 has the same issue? Anyway, if you "help" the car Idle by keeing your foot on the gas, the car will not learn to idle on it's own. One more thought is battery related. I know it might be a stretch but I once had a jeep that would not idle to the point that it would die. The battery went dead. When I replaced it, the car took several minutes to streighten out but finally did. My idle problem was fixed. Again, that's a stretch.

so obviously this guy can't help

And just to clarify my Mom never had to yell at the principal...I was a good kid...but thanks for the defamation of character.
You're right, I have no idea how to work on this car and I obviously have no idea what I'm doing. I have never replaced a full subframe, replaced a differential, done a clutch job, coilovers, cylinder head gasket, wheel bearings, exhaust, brakes, etc etc etc

All this coming from someone that PAYS to have her oil changed.

We tried to answer your question for you and you obviously haven't explored the possibilities. If you were told by a mechanic that the cylinder head needs to be replaced then that's the answer. Apparently you don't like the answer you're getting so you are going to keep asking the question. If you think the car is such crap, buy a Chevy and call it a day. This way the good 'ol union boys will stop hassling you.

This is complete shot in the dark and I hope a mechanic would look at this but heres my 2 cents.

This same problem was happening to me a few months ago...Car had trouble at start...sometimes stalling at start. Also when driving it would some times stall after depressing the clutch at stop lights.
I dont know but it sound similar to your problem.

But my problem was my map sensor in my throttle body was loose. Just try pushing the sensor in.
This is a shot in the dark but we can cross our fingers that this is it.
If this isn't it it sounds like it it something along that line of map problem

A couple of things that we didn't pick up on earlier:

Did you consider the possibility that someone has sabotaged the car? If the people you work with truly dislike the car, maybe they've pulled off a coil plug, put water or something in your gas tank or somehow managed to otherwise inhibit the car's normal functionality.

In that case, you should probably be driving a Sebring anyway.
