diff sounds screwed...any ideas what it is?

CV joints? drop your diff fliud, and check for chunks of metal.

My diff was failing and the fluid was really very clean.

If you're to the point of chunks, the car won't run very well.

Even if you don't have chunks, doesn't mean the diff is ok.

People tend to go towards a clutch type LSD because it locks up harder, not because a torsen is stressed out more. And drifting of course will have more adverse affects on your car than doing donuts.

So Im trying to figure out exactly what it is...

Its not the clutch, or the mainshaft in the transmission, because it gets faster and louder the higer the gear/tire speed.

It's either the output shaft of the trans, or the diff, I cant put my finger exactly where it is because the noise/vibration goes through the whol driveline...

I noticed if I rev it up, the clutch in, it gets pretty louder..

Any ideas before I remove the drive shafts to see if I can discern it to either the diff or output shaft?
