S2KPUDDYDAD and SpitfireS,
Thank you both for your wealth of information. I did have an additional question...
How often would you recommend changing the differential fluid for regular street use? How about for low mileage cars (garage queens); would you recommend based on time rather than mileage?
Thanks,
Chris

I would do a change once a year for diff fluid. It is cheap and not hard to do
Gear oil does not get contaminated by combustion byproducts like engine oil (acidid stuff etc) so if you don't drive a lot you could go 2 years IMO.
OTOH, like S2KPUDDYDAD said: its cheap & easy to do, so.. it doesn't hurt.
I would not use the OEM milage oil change interval - a little too long.
Both for the trans and diff.
Personally I change diff & trans every 25-30k km, about half the OEM interval.

I built the replacement rear for that DIY
With trade of you old damaged rear I send you a reconditioned rear ready to go for less than you can rebild your self.
I also helped shock with that build as well

If you chose to rebuild your self you can call me for instructions or advice. Good luck
