Yes, the Mobil 75/140 will work. Order some amsoil for your next fluid change.

I read some where in this forum that the w90 is not like it used to be and does not provide the same wear protection as it did back then. W110 is like the old w90. But I can't find that old thread. But while searching. 75w90 is fine but 75w110 has better wear protection.

^^ I read the same thing from somewhere on here too.

That's why i drove around to a few different auto stores looking for 75w110 or 75w140 and i finally found the 75w140.

listen to the man here. his diffs are bar none. i personally have a diff from him and it's been in there since last year with lots of reemed miles on it. a lot more hard driving than what i used to have to which was the stock diff.

Where did you all read this? I don't think there is anything wrong with a 110 vs 90, but its pretty basic that thicker oil will protect better at operating temps - I've never seen anyone claim why you should go as high as 140 - that seems excessive to me.

well puddy said 140... so i'm using 140.

Besides, considering the way rear gears work, i think that as long as it's the right makeup, thicker stuff will help.

Maybe minimally for wear, but at the cost of efficiency, especially for normal use.
