Xviper ..Thanks for the info. I guess my next move will be going to the dealer and ask him to show me the container that the bulk fluid they put in my car came from. It is possible they buy the unknown trans fluid listed on my invoice from an outside source? $ 1.66 per quart is extremely cheap for Diff lubricant. I am seriously doubting the dealers truthfulness. If I find they put in the wrong stuff. Is is a completely new diff for me or is the Torsen what is affected by the wrong lube?

Vtec4-2 I finally get what you're saying.. Very true.. and changing it myself is what I will be doing in the future. I got the S about 4 months ago. So the only reason I took it to the dealer to do the 30k service is because I was completely unfamiliar with it, the more time I spend here is helping to change all that.

I would recommend LE607 or Mobil 1 75W-90 when you get it changed. I can def. confirm the dif takes slightly less than 1 quart, the trans takes about 1.6-1.7 quarts.

Xv and most people on this board know more about the car than any dealer ever will. Here's a sad scenario...Had a member come to my shop today to do all his fluids (dif/trans/clutch) He lives 3 hours away, and works for Honda! Talk about dis-trust...

M1 75W90 has been good in some of my older cars (cars of years gone bye). I used Redline in my RX7 turbo's rear end ... very good, and then switched it over to Amsoil 75W90 and I found it a little better.
I know Redline has improved their formulation and I'm very impressed with their MTL (in my S right now). I currently use Amsoil's Series 2000 75W90 and the stuff comes out very clean after 7500 miles of hard use. You can't argue with that.
