Any tool place or auto parts store will have an adapter for 1/2 to 3/8 or whatever you need.It pays to have several handy and they are usually cheap.....approx $2

i use redline heavy shockproof in the rear pumpkin. it worked well on the quaife that my evo had. it seems to be working just as well in the helical type diff in the rear right now.

I want to say thank you to SIIK2NR for putting this fine DIY together, it was really helpful to someone like me who doesn't really know all the ins and outs of the car yet, I followed your instructions to the T and ran into not one issue.

I must say also I wasn't expecting much of a difference performance wise, however the car is much quieter now that it was before and much more responsive. Thanks again for all your work putting this together, I am truly greatful!

a question. Can this be done without the torque wrench, coz for d people who dont have it. do they have to buy a torque wrench or is there any other way round it too.

if you are familiar with your hand tools and can feel 'tight enough' then you will be ok.

however if you don't get it right you might have the following:
1. leaking fluid
2. broken bolt from over tightening
3. stripped threads from the fill/drain hole.

a cheap torque wrench is <$10 from sears. i don't think you will be able to fit a socket+torque wrench on the fill hole though.

For those who want a different option other than a pump. I run a clean hose from the diff. up to and out the driver side wheel well.
