does any one know what it is when your diff starts howling???

 

bearings or ring and pinion.

 

I had a fairly new unit with only 12K miles on it develop a loud whine. Since it had been replaced under HondaCare only a year earlier Honda agreed to cover the part while I got stuck with the labor charge to replace it. They documented it as improper wear-in causing the whine.
