differential question
To make absolutely sure - for piece of mind... remove the propshaft at the diff's end.
Put the car on its wheels or use e-brake when you're not on a lift.
Turn the propshaft companion flange CW and CCW.
Then you're able to feel how much play there really is.
The pinion and flange should not move in & out of the diff while switching from CW to CCW.
If it does... trouble.
If it doesn't.. let it rest, your diff is most likely ok.

i hAVE major clunk noise as you describe Especially when i am backing the car...
whenever I gear in R and then step on the clutch and release, step and release, i will hear it Clunk everytime..
It will also happen when I gear in 1st, 2nd step in clutch and release will have clunk noise but not as loud as Reverse.
Thanks
