differential question

To make absolutely sure - for piece of mind... remove the propshaft at the diff's end.
Put the car on its wheels or use e-brake when you're not on a lift.
Turn the propshaft companion flange CW and CCW.

Then you're able to feel how much play there really is.

The pinion and flange should not move in & out of the diff while switching from CW to CCW.
If it does... trouble.
If it doesn't.. let it rest, your diff is most likely ok.

i hAVE major clunk noise as you describe Especially when i am backing the car...

whenever I gear in R and then step on the clutch and release, step and release, i will hear it Clunk everytime..

It will also happen when I gear in 1st, 2nd step in clutch and release will have clunk noise but not as loud as Reverse.

Thats the exact same thing I'm talking about, at least thats someone else with the same noise.

what is CW to CCW?

CW is clockwise rotation
CCW counter clockwise rotation
