Default Disabling the A/C compressor for autocrossing?

I would like to be able to turn the A/C on during an autocross just to have the cooling fans run continuously, but don't want the A/C to engage. Is there a quick, simple way to do this by pulling a fuse or unplugging a harness? I have considered just swapping out my accessories belt before / after the event to bypass the A/C compressor all together, but thought it might be bad for the compressor clutch to stay engaged the whole time.

Come to think of it, would it do the same thing to just short the radiator fan switch?

I think it would very easy to "hot wire" both fans to switches. Tap power via relays (unless you can get big enough switches) from your battery and splice into the fans. Have the switches in the cockpit.

I am hoping to avoid cutting and splicing. I tried that on my old Integra, but found that 1 was switched on the +12V side, and the other was switched on the GND side. I rigged this big mess of relays and switches, but it didn't last.

You could try unplugging the AC clutch connector, Both fans should run with the AC switch on

I suppose someone could protest you for that. Pretty chickenshit but possible. I try to NEVER add electrical load during a run to minimize engine drag. I'll use the A/C, if needed, during grid but will shut it down and will switch the heater control to full heat. Can be a bit uncomfortable but the shot of cooler water and extra radiator capacity may be worth it.
