Excellent writeup. Any additional info on the step for adjusting the gap with range specified? I have wind noise, I think it's from the back. Where do i adjust for this?

Has anyone else taken this into consideration?-- If you know you'll be adding a HT eventually, be sure to do it before the soft-top goes bad. This maintains some usefulness of the SF and also maintains extra value at trade-in or resell.
How many people would spend the money required to do both? I don't think many.

This is quite possibly the best DIY post I have ever seen. And I've been looking at them for 10 years.

great post.. and just to add my 2 cents..

the spacers in the beginning that u put on the soft top, is to cushion the soft top frame. the hardtop rests on the soft top, putting alot of weight on it. so the rubber spacer prevents the frame from touching when the soft top is folded.

second, when using the punch to bend the area for the side latches.
keep the 12mm and 10mm screws in there while hammering away. i took them out first and when i bent it, the screw holes and thread no longer aligned, and i had to go back and bend it to alignment.

thanks for the post and pixs.. deff helped more than the blk and white instructions that honda has.

Do you happen to have the part number for those 2 rubber spacers that you attached to the soft top? I bought my hardtop used and I obviously don't have those parts. I wonder what they are for, but I'm betting some sort of protection. I'd like to get a pair of those rubber spacers if possible. Thanks!
I couldn't be bothered in chasing up these so I just used the lids off 2 bottles of water that got. Works fine. Though I don't think with my Mugen Style HT, that they are required, as the Ht doesn't sit on the soft top like the OEM one.
