Hi All, Just wondering if anyone knows if there's a diy hood damper install. I Would like to install a set on my car this yr. Thanks in advance

 

Anyone have one? I've looked for it but can't find it.

 

If new, there will be inst. with it.

Its fairly straight forward. The brackets generally only fit one way the other pieces replace a bolt where the fender attaches to the chassis. maybe check NRG or tein for an example

 

Yeah, I've been looking for close ups but haven't been able to locate any. I'll check those vendor sites out.

 

What ever you do, don't try to extend the dampers any more than they already are. I realized that when I installed my SOS dampers. Look on the hood for a place to mount the upper bracket and then raise and lower the hood to see where the mounting point on the fender should be. Again, if they're like the SOS ones, it'll be somewhere near the front suspension mounts are. Good luck.
