Just to piggyback on the topic since I recently did my valve adjustments... I've got a P0171 CEL code after 60 miles of driving after the adjustments. I tried searching for possible causes and am wondering if I didn't gap the valves correctly. I did 0.010 inch for all valves and I didnt reset the ECU afterwards. Would this be the primary cause for the CEL?? I appreciate all inputs and suggestions.

if the CEL light came on after you did the valve adjustment, I would recheck them and make sure its correct.

There are 5 for sure

Just order a valve cover gasket, it will come with 5 grommets, 5 chrome washers, and vc gasket.
I thought there were five, but I looked through the pictures and only saw four. I guess I shouldn't have doubted myself.
One is hidden under the VTEC coil cover, rear left side of engine

What what? Don't you mean that the engine should be allowed to cool?

You forgot about the fact that he's from Australia. It's opposite there.

I just did mine , the engine has been sitting in 40 degree temps for a few months, so it is definitely cold.

I personally would have waited longer. So, what were your findings?
