So once #2 cylinder is adjusted and still at TDC, then you can put the valve cover on. Wasn't sure if another cylinder had to be set to TDC before putting everything back together, just curious, thanks.

Crank position doesn't matter for replacing the valve cover.

So I guess for our engines you don't need to use hondabond sealer like on K series engines?

Also, are the clearance specs different for F20 and F22?

A touch of Hondabond is used in the cam hump corners of the K motors as it is a vulnerable spot to leak.

the S2000 doesn't need any because it is completely flat (no cam humps)

F20C and F22C have the same valve specs.

.011 exhaust valve clearance is recommend for at LEAST 06-09 USA cars.

wouldn't you need to remove the spark plugs to crank the engine clockwise?

Nope just disconnect the battery so you don't accidentally crank the car lol.

Interesting note- are we thinking even non DBW should be at the .011" exhaust spec vs. the .010 as previously recommended?

The engine turns over much easier without the plugs. I like to pull the plugs so I can read them, and it makes the valve adjustment easier.

Of course you're correct, it does make it a lot easier to not fight the engine compression, but if you're manly enough and have the right tools it's not necessary. That said, I remove the spark plugs as well(to replace them), along with replacing all the spark plug tube seals and valve cover gasket every time I do a valve adjustment, just for peace of mind.
