DIY Valve Adjustment
Sorry to bump this thread up but I'm really confused and I'm not sure what to think.
Check these pictures please.
All TDC marks lined up like they suppose to when to check cylinder #1

But why are cam lobes on cylinder #4 in position and not #1

Is my cams installed the wrong way or what is going on?
Car has been running great and I hope there is just some stupid mistake in my head.
I've never checked the valves on my S2000 before.

The photo proves that #1 and #4 rotate at the same timing --- just one revolution of the crank or 360-degrees out-of-phase of each other.
windhund: It's a good explanation and I get all that.
What got me worried though was that WSM calls for you to check cyl1 when all TDC marks line up, this is not possible on my motor regardless on how many turns you spin the crank.

Yes car runs great and valves were pretty close to spec.
I just had the crank pulley removed and I don't think it's possible to mount it more than one way.
It's hard to tell from the picture but intake cam has the mark at 3pm and exhaust is at 9pm.
