DIY for valve adjustment and checking retainers?

DIY for valve adjustment and checking retainers?

Does and one have any links for either of these. I have an AP1 and want to check my retainers and dont really know how to look for cracks. Also since I'll have the valve cover off I'd like to check if I need to adjust my vavles.

sorry i didnt think it was in the sticky should of looked. but i was reading a post about cracked retainers and i'm still not sure how to check for crack marks since most are underneath the retainer.
