Default Does anyone know what could cause this?

i have recently had an Exeddy Stage 2 clutch installed with a Fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel as well. everything is great but as all S' owners know, when you want to go in reverse you must push DOWN on the shifter then push back and to the right all the way to get in gear. NOW, i do NOT have to push the shifter down to get it in, only have to push shifter to same position as before only i don't have to push it down anymore. ALSO, there is a very large gap in the corner where 5th gear is. I have gotten used to shifting into it now but if you miss its like a black hole! could something have been installed backwards? I'm not to worried because it runs perfectly sound, but it seems a little odd that the gearbox has completely changed.

Thanks

This is not normal. Your installer broke something when re-installing the shifter.

Please don't be posting another thread with the same topic. I'm going to merge your previous thread into this one so we can get rid of the duplicate.

This thread has had 143 views. Maybe those who have read it don't know the answer. Maybe the right person who knows hasn't seen it yet. Maybe you could just "bump" your own thread till someone does see it who can answer. Maybe this question has been asked before and dealt with before and people don't want to answer again. Maybe duplicate threads only annoy people into not answering when they do see finally see them.
Duplicate threads are not allowed (please read the site rules).

ps. Ludedude answered. Don't you believe him?

It's broken. This is not something normal after the trans has been removed. Take the shifter back out and see what is broken.
