Now I'm trying to figure out if I can incorporate truffle oil into my next DIY.

Yep, as someone who deals with LEDs with S2000s on a daily basis, this is an issue that plagues many S2000s.

As my wife reported her overhead lights not working, I ordered LED bulbs from Rock Auto (sorry, JS2K). Then, I read this topic. Seeing as it's possibly corrosion, I got in the car and simply slid the switch L-R aggressively maybe 100-150 times, this apparently scrubbed some corrosion off the contacts and they work fine now. If it comes back, I can take the switch apart and do it right. As I had the lens off (getting it back on was the hardest part) I popped the LEDs in anyway, nice improvement.

Initial Problem: One interior light would work randomly, seemed like there was poor contact because the one light would work if you gently wiggled the OFF/DOOR/ON slider.

So I read this DIY and ordered two new OEM light bulbs. The contacts were green and I cleaned them with a wire brush. Put everything back. Now there is no lights at all.

I have tried to move the lights around to see if maybe the light bulbs were polarized, they are not. I played around with how tight the two bolts on the back of the connector are.

The only thing my AP2 dome light does not have is two springs under the copper contacts on the underside of the slider.

Question: Are those two missing springs the culprit? If so anyone know where I can get those springs?
Anyone have any idea's on where to start troubleshooting?
I had the same issue. These springs fell out when the copper contacts came out. I didn't realize they were missing. Fortunately, I was able to find them. Thanks for pointing these out!

Default ditto this

I got it done with my pumbing fingers - at first I had trouble getting the switch back in with it's spring loaded ball bearings thingy - but just held the bearings in and slide from right to left till it was postioned ending with a little gratifying snap when the bearings found their place.
thank you - this had been draining my battery a bit.....

Been having issues with my dome lights and can’t figure it out. Been having issues with my passenger light. Cleaned the contacts, switch the bulbs and even ordered a used dome light. Any ideas on what would cause one side not to work? Wouldn’t think a fuse since the drivers side works.

This fixed my car's issue. Thanks! Almost lost a ball bearing in the process and getting it back in was a pain but it's all good now.
