Dome light switch not working. Lights work

Thanks! Just used this to clean my dome light contacts. The light works perfectly now.

Glad I found this. I have the same exact problem. Thanks for the write up. btw, are those leds custom made or did you buy them somewhere?

No, they are just some generic ones off of ebay. They work great though. Way better that the stock lights and they look a ton better than the yellow incandescent lights.

i mite b a lil late on comment on this diy but its great! thank u soooo much! i used 2 beat my dome light assy when it didnt work rite. that somehow made it work but im updating to leds from superbrightleds.com so im glad i cleaned up that area with my dremel.

Thanks for this write up. I was always looking for someone parting out their car to buy a dome light.... I thought I was the only one with this problem! Great write up, someone finally figured it out!

I just did this, and the lights now consistently work with the switch being the in the middle and the door opens, but the lights still dont come on when I push the individual buttons? I took everything apart again, made sure they looked good and didnt lose any of the bearings or spring..
